Greetings in the precious Name above all names.

Thanksgiving has passed and you were all on the top of our lists of things (things?) we are thankful for – and continue to be all year ‘round! May we all maintain that thankful spirit throughout the upcoming holidays and the year to come! God is so good!

A board is a board is a board???
It would sure be a lot easier to go down to the local Home Depot or Lowe’s or whatever it is where you live and buy a bunch of nicely kiln dried, laser cut boards to build with… but it wouldn’t be

Greetings in the Precious Name of Jesus!

Everybody getting ready for Thanksgiving? We have a competition between the boys and girls where everyone writes two things they are thankful for on slips of paper. We fold them up and Thanksgiving day, after eating, we try to guess who said what. It sometimes starts to heat up (we are a competitive bunch…), but always ends up a fun time! What are some of your Thanksgiving traditions? This year we had a

CUSCO NEWS

Well... 6 years and four lawyers later, we are just now finding out that there is something wrong with the way we are set up legally, so we are shuffling to make the necessary changes. Although children’s homes are much needed in this country, unfortunately there are many unscrupulous people who take advantage of that and do many illegal things to make money for themselves and don’t take care of the children themselves - if they even exist!

Those of you who have blessed us with a visit know that we raise and love these children as if they were our very own. Fortunately, the authorities

News Update - September 30, 2011

Greetings to you all in the precios Name of Jesus.

This is just a brief update before I head back down to the jungle for the month of October. Life has been a little more crazy than usual as our faith and determination has been tested in many ways – not the least of which was Rachel’s trip to Switzerland for her DTS (Discipleship Training School). From the very beginning we believed that this was the right time and the right place for her to go, but the Peruvian employee at the

News Update - September 16, 2011

Greetings in the precious Name above all names. As satan tries to draw our thoughts and focus to things mundane, this is all the more time to look up! This is an amazing time to KNOW that absolutely NOTHING can separate us from the love of God!

HEALTH ISSUES
We recently had a visit from a medical team. i was in the jungle, but Laura hosted them and she checked out fine - which is always welcomed news for me! The team checked out all of the children who were home at the time, and - a funny note - at the end of

Blessings and greetings in the precious name of Jesus!

We trust this finds you all doing well.

As I mentioned in the previous update, we have just seen off our second construction team for the year and they, like the first team, were a major blessing. What I failed to mention in the previous update was that we were also blessed by Clark Bernard, leader of YWAM Peru, whose wife is responding so well to treatments after her surgery for cancer (please keep those prayers coming!) that he felt that he could

News Update - August 1, 2011

Greetings in the precious name of Jesus! May God continue to bless and keep and provide your every need. This is a brief note from the jungle just to let you know that we haven’t fallen off the face of the earth.

We have been advancing on the construction of the dormitories and processing the lumber for flooring and siding. This has been delayed somewhat because the rains continued much longer than usual this year. The wood that we need is found in low-lying areas, which means that when it rains, we cannot

Greetings in the precious name of Jesus!

Laura and I just got back from Iquitos (jungle, northeastern part of Peru) where we were able to spend a week together after my “round the world” trip (U.S. and Australia). If you’ve never done 36 hours of travel with only two hours of sleep and
